Ofrenda

November 1st is an important day of remembrance in many cultures around the world. Dia de los Muertos honors the dead with festivals and lively celebrations of the lives of the deceased, complete with with food, drink, parties, offerings and enjoying the activities the dead enjoyed in their lives. The offerings made to honor the dead are known as an Ofrenda. These items are personalized, to welcome the loved one into the celebrations and back to the community. This set of stitch markers was created to represent an ofrenda, filled with Sugar Skulls, hand made artwork and beautiful color. Each set includes a hand painted, wooden sugar skull bead and two hand painted wooden coffin beads. These beads were hand painted in Peru. Finishing out the set are two stitch markers of multicolored glass beads. Each marker is adorned with Swarovski crystals in white and jewel tones. Each marker measures between 1" - 1.25" long. This set is a gorgeous addition to your Dia de los Muertos yarn and project bag! Only 14 sets are available.
